Be the Hero
Develop and design an infographic and social media solution based on extensive research. The infographic had to include icons that complimented the presented information. Additionally, the infographic had to be segmented for use across a social media platform.
The illustrations were created in Adobe Illustrator. The layouts were made in Adobe InDesign. Photographs were edited in Adobe Photoshop.
This project was one of the most extensive and reiterated ones that I have ever worked on in all my years designing. After extensive research, I discovered that public schools across the state of Maryland have many notable solutions to respond to bullying after-the-fact. Regretfully, I also found that Maryland public schools did not have many anti-bullying solutions that were proactive, so I decided that I would concept and design a proactive solution that would stop incidents of bullying before they start.
The overall theme was simple enough: be a hero; be proactive against bullying. The idea was to develop an inspiring design for a poster that would ultimately encourage the target audience — public school students between the ages of 8-15 to be more proactive against bullying and how to be proactive. The use of a superhero and hearts would be the primary icons used throughout this project to inspire love and compassion from potential viewers.
