My course work
For awhile I have been taking several art classes to build what I believe to be a very diverse portfolio. Below are the courses and projects that are best suited to be a part of this portfolio. In addition, I've included the required courses to complete my Graphic Design AAS degree.
ARTT 100: intro to drawing
This course served as a basic introduction to drawing and creative visual problem solving. Emphasis is on the analysis and exploration of basic drawing techniques in the visual interpretation of natural and fabricated forms. In this course I was introduced to a variety of drawing media. This section contains a few of artworks that I completed in this course. Each art work incorporated new drawing principles that were learned throughout the semester.
ARTT 102: tw0-dimensional design
The objective of this course was to develop an understanding of the ways of organizing visual information in order to communicate an idea. Design derives from the planned arrangement of visual elements in ways that are not only visually stimulating, but are portrayed and expressed effectively. This section showcases all of the design projects that I have completed in the course. Each project presented new challenges that build upon the skills learned from the previous project.
GDES 121: GRaphic Design I
This course provided an informative initiation to the discipline of graphic communication. The course included demonstrations of traditional and digital techniques and systems. There was a primary focus on employing the tools, skills, materials and procedures used in the graphic design field. The projects displayed in this section will reflect the lessons that were taught throughout the semester.
